1. Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre has received funds from the Government of Uganda towards the construction of a perimeter fence at UWEC.
2. The services under this consultancy will include; (i) supervision/ contract management of the Construction of the entire perimeter fence to ensure that the works comply with the technical designs, drawings, specifications, conditions of contract, quality assurance standards and Environmental, Social, Health and Safety standards; (ii) preparation of final construction report, design & drawings including their statutory approvals, preparation of tender dossier including specifications and bill of quantities (iii) supervision of the defects liability monitoring period; and (iv) preparation of the works/Project Completion Report (PCR).
3. The consultancy services are expected to be executed for a duration of fifteen (15) calendar months, inclusive of a defects liability period.
4. Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre now invites consultancy firms to indicate their interest in providing these Services. Interested consultants must provide information demonstrating that they have the relevant experience and qualifications to perform the Services supported with relevant documentation. Such information may include: (a) Brochures, (b) Description of assignments of similar nature conducted in the last four (4) years, (c) Experience n similar conditions in the region, and (d) availability of appropriate managerial and technical skills among staff related to the assignment and specific experience in similar infrastructure development among others. Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
5. Eligibility criteria and selection procedure shall be in accordance with the PPDA act 2003, order 2021, PPDA regulations & guidelines 2014, which is available on the PPDA website at https://www.ppda.go.ug
