BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN BIDDING

Construction of Mbale Satellite Centre- UWEC/WRKS/23-24/00001

1. Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre has received funds from Government of
   Uganda to be used for the construction of Mbale Satellite Centre.
2. The Entity invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above works.
3. Bidding shall be conducted in accordance with the proceedures contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 (the Act) and the Regulations made under the Act and is open to all bidders.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document at the address given below at 8(a) from 8am to 5pm.
5. The bidding document which has been prepared in the English language may be purchased by interested bidders at 8(b) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX. 200,000 (Uganda shillings two hundred thousand only). The method of payment will be cash.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8(c) at or before 3.00pm on 14th March 2024. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of; lot one- UGX. 6,299,199, lot two- UGX.2,636,744, lot three- UGX. 5,915,758, lot four- UGX. 1,139,390, lot five- UGX. 27,174,524, lot six- UGX. 4,474,450 & lot seven- UGX. 3,178,738. Bid securities must be valid until 16th October 2024. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 8(d) at 3:15pm on 14th March 2024.
7. There shall be a pre-bid meeting/site visit at 12:00pm at Mbale near URA check point on the dates indicated in the proposed schedule in this notice.
8. Bidders should note the following: (a) Documents may be inspected at: UWEC Procurement & Disposal Unit Office.
   (b) Documents will be issued from: UWEC Procurement & Disposal Unit Office.
   (c) Bids must be delivered to: UWEC Procurement & Disposal Unit Office.
   (d) Address of bid opening: UWEC Board Room.
9. The Planned Procurement Schedule (subject to changes) is as follows:
